Dear Carol, Today I received the two gorgeous vintage petit point evening
purses.
I am overwhelmed by how beautiful they are. Your
wonderful photos and detailed descriptions had prepared me for
these exquisite pieces of art that these petit points represent. What I had not
expected was the glorious “hand” (feeling) of the fabrics. As a longtime
needle pointer, I marveled at the description of 48 stitches to the inch, but did
not think about how it would be done. Clearly the needlework is done on gauze
rather than needlepoint canvas and the stitches are made with very fine silk. Both purses
are miniature works of art that I will cherish for a lifetime. Working with you
has been a special treat. Thank you for making this purchase such a special
