Transfer decoration is crisp with blue cornflowers and soft greenery on a white ground. The gold highlights are in very good condition, small if any wear and the mold design is graceful and appealing. The colors and the lovely detailing to the finial show well in my photos. The sides of the plate have open pierced handles for ease of use. The dish and cover are stamped with an early Theo Haviland mark, dating the set to ca. 1895 - 1903, a nice early set that sits 4 inches tall by 7 5/8 across the handles, the insert is 4 1/2 inches and the depth of the plate is 1 3/8 inch. Take this wonderful opportunity to add this antique butter dish set to your Limoges collection and dinnerware pieces, I'm sure you will be pleased with it.
