I have searched many years to acquire one of these beauties. I am delighted to report, this is "the best" example I've seen, I have found none finer. Before I go on further, the background fabric color is a pleasant beige or sand tone color, closest to actual is the first photo, so please remember that the background in not white. Very pretty however and looks much better than white. These beaded handbags with the needlepoint centers are quite hard to find and this example is simply in the very best possible condition. The fabric around the stitches is nice and clean as is the entire piece, no stains or discolors to be noted. The silk hand worked needlepoint forms a bouquet of pink and peach roses, accentuated with purple lavender violets and deep rich greenery. The light beige ground sets off the sparkling clear crystal beads, as well as the silver, amber brown and bright white beaded pattern, all forming the perfect frame for this exquisite work of art. 
 The bottom of the purse is finished with a complete and full row of dangling fringes, having robust loops of bright white beads at the ends. The original interior lining has it's gathered pocket, and as you can see, it is in clean, fresh, unused condition. The bright golden brassy frame is in solid working order and signed on the interior, as shown. There is a little of the expected aging spots of discolor on the metal but mostly it is quite nice, much better than what is normally found on these types of frames. 
 Overall, I would have to say this purse is about as close to pristine as they come, I could not be more excited about the condition. This gorgeous creation measures 9 & 1/2 in length, which includes the 1 & 3/4 inch fringe, by 7 & 1/2 wide, the chain handle drops 7 inches. I find no apparent bead loss, repairs or any problems at all. I am confident that you will be pleased to add this antique German beaded and needlepoint handbag to your treasury of purses and wardrobe accessories. If you've been wanting one of these unusual purses, don't hesitate too long, I don't know if I will ever acquire another one as nice, it's splendid.
