Vintage Art Deco Beaded Purse, Fun Rainbow Design <<<< Back to Back to Beaded Purses page 2   This beaded Art Deco blast from the past is just too much fun. This glass beaded purse has iridescent clear beads knit on vibrant colorful heavy threading that includes stripes of green, multi blues, tangerine, pink and pastel yellow.

The rainbow design is very different from what I usually find and my photos show you what you can expect.  The colors are good in my pictures but the yellow is a little deeper and this purse has a sparkle that will cheer you up.

The Art Deco frame exhibits some vintage aging as shown and is the type that opens with a lift closure, forming a square that measures 5 inches on the diagonal.  The stitching of the purse to the frame had weakened over the last 80 years so I secured it better with a matching thread, however, I just noticed that I missed a hole so I will take care of it before it finds it's way to your home.

The interior maintains it's original lining with trim and a cute little laced pocket with flowers at the corners.  The fringe is secure with matching beads on red thread.  The purse measures 8 1/2 inches long by 7 across the frame, the chain drops 5 inches.  The purse has been cleaned and overall is nearly perfect except for a bit of discolor to the backside toward the bottom right, it is actually very faint.  This shows too dark in the last photo, in person it is hardly visible, certainly not distracting at all and will go unnoticed.  Whether you dress up or dress down, this purse will get lots of attention and add some colorful dimension to your accessories or purse collection, it's fun, fun, fun.
