The workmanship is incredible on this purse. I love micro petit point and when it is blended with hand beading, it becomes a fascinating work of art that few are capable of creating. The intense use of color, in the micro petit point floral pattern, is fabulous and my photos show it all very well. The colors vary from soft and subtle to cheerfully bright but in no way are they too stark. The abundant shades in the petit point are stunning and span the full spectrum of color. The beading is well interspersed with a lush display of roses, tulips, forget-me-nots, as well as a complete floral display. It has been a long time since I have acquired one of these purses on such a bright white background. Although the original label leaves only a tiny remnant, there is no debating that this purse was made in France, I have not one doubt as to it's origins. The exterior of this handbag is in excellent condition, has been completely professionally cleaned and I find no apparent bead loss, barely a faint discolor, no snags or flaws, it is a beauty.   I love how the petit point wraps itself around the bottom of the purse and continues throughout the backside, very dramatic. The gold tone frame is shiny and clean, showing very little signs of aging, hardly a wee tiny bit. The open flower bud type clasp appears to be more of a silver tone that is capped with good sized clear rhinestones. Notice how they reflected my pink dress while I photographed it. These rhinestones will pick up whatever color is near them. The frame, hinges and clasp works properly and the purse closes with a good snap. The interior satin lining has dual pockets and you will see that this purse did have a label at one time but now is gone. The lining is clean and shows some signs of age but no staining, wear or tears.
The purse is carried by a fully beaded handle, well attached and drops the purse by 5 inches. Stuffed with tissue, this bag measures 5½ in height by 9 inches across the widest mid section and has a side depth of 1½ inches. This is an average sized purse that should service your needs well and has a medium hand, not too soft and not too stiff. This elegant vintage beaded and micro petit point evening handbag is very worthy of your consideration and will shine amongst your treasury of purses, it's breathtaking.
