The background bead is crystal clear, which promotes the colorful florals to pop off even more radiantly. I'm showing you lots of photos but I did have problems with shadows and lighting as the sunshine kept going in and out as I took pictures. The first photo is good but the colors are a bit more intense, the photos don't really do the purse justice. The beadwork shows the same patterns on both sides and I find no bead loss on this purse, no repairs, no stain or discolor. This purse has been cleaned and refreshed for your enjoyment.
The bottom of the beading is finished with a full and complete row of twisted and interlocking fringes, all seeming very secure and in good order. The purse is well attached to the frame at all points. I did have to stitch the purse to the frame so it will hold up well for you over the years to come. And speaking of the frame, it is a lovely one indeed. Bright and clean golden tones boast some wonderful details. The front of the frame is banded over with some fabulous filigree metal work. In addition, there are 9 decorative jewels which include 4 multi faceted emerald green glass stones, 4 radiant mother-of-pearl discs and the center larger disc is a variegated blue that has a look of stone but I am not sure what it is. All the jewels are secure and intact, no damage, but upon closer scrutiny I see a scratch on the center disc when I tip it to the light.
The lining had to be replaced so I chose a vintage forest emerald green silk, trimmed it with my finest pink and green embroidered lace and both compliment the purse perfectly. The last two photos show both sides of the purse and the plainer side of the golden frame. This is quite a large purse, measuring generously from the top of the clasp to the bottom of the fringe at 13 in length, by 8½ wide along the bottom. The frame is 8 inches from hinge to hinge, 7¼ across the jewels and the chain handle drops 6 inches. This magnificent creation looks much better in person, it is a stunning work of art, in fantastic condition and will make a great addition to your treasured accessories.
