The interior lining was lightly gold stenciled on the pocket, hand made in France for Spritzer and Fuhrmann but when I cleaned this purse, the stenciling washed away so you will have to take my word for it, this is a French designer purse. The stitches are extremely tiny, snug together and in marvelous vintage condition. The center arena of the purse has an ivory toned background that has taken on an aged patina and perhaps a little subtle discolor but nothing too naughty at all. The center floral bouquet is surrounded with scrolling Art Nouveau detail and an abundance of flowers on a jet black background. This purse is very colorful, nice and clean and carries only a scent of freshness, you will enjoy owning it. The gold tone frame is layered on both sides with bands of luminous mother-of-pearl. Sadly, my photos do not show the depth of all the coloring in the pearl, it is glowing and makes a very pretty presentation on this handbag. The pearl is in excellent original condition and is securely set onto the frame. The kissing clasp closes the purse with a good strong snap, the hinges are good and overall, the frame looks fabulous, it is structurally sound with very little signs of aging. The entire purse is in very fine condition, well kept and cared for. I find no apparent or real issues with the petit point, all the stitches appear intact, without fading. The outer perimeter of this purse is finished with a coordinating band of petit point flowers. The purse comes together well and the interior is lined with both black and ivory satiny silk fabric. There are a total of 4 pockets for carrying all of your purse accessories. The pockets have a black edging and 2 of the pockets have wear on the edging but that is only really noticeable on one of the pockets. There is also a small discolor on the bottom of the lining, as shown but for the most part, the lining is very acceptable, completely usable and clean. This is an adequately roomy bag and will carry all of your necessities for a successful evening out. Stuffed with tissue it measures 7 inches from the top of the clasp to the bottom, nearly 8 inches at it's widest, the side has ¾ of an inch of depth and the chain handle drops the purse by 6½ inches. If you like these photos, then you will love this purse but do expect the colors to be more crisp and a bit deeper when viewed in person. This micro petit point evening purse is quite pleasing to the eye and it's a lovely, vintage treasure.
