 No staining to the exterior, just a gorgeous detailed piece of hand made art work. The gold tone frame is bright and has a fancy kissing clasp, twist to open. Both sides show the same scene with no lost stitches or apparent problems and measures 6 inches tall by 7 3/4 wide with a 3/4 inch perimeter floral border and the rather substantial gold chain drops the purse by 6 inches. 
The beige satin interior lining, with dual pockets, is labeled as shown, looks to have small usage, a light lipstick smudge but no tears or rips, it is quite acceptable. This lovely petit point purse will carry well to the opera or any special event that demands an eye catching purse. I can't imagine that anyone would not be thrilled to own and carry this extra special petit point handbag.
