The multi green leaves add dimension to this stunning purse. The colors are captivating and showing very well in my photos, with multi pinks, deep ruby, dusty rose, orange and amber. It's been awhile since I have acquired a beaded purse with roses, this one is truly wonderful. I believe anyone would be proud to add this treasure to their collection or wardrobe accessories. The purse is identical on both sides and I show lots of pictures so you can appreciate it's true nature. The silver toned frame adds drama to this purse with it's unusual figural portrait designs of delightful faces amid florals and those gorgeous side profiles, oh so distinctly Art Nouveau. The center shield on both sides are unmarked, awaiting your monogram or special date. The clasp is the kissing style, twist to open and working as it should. The purse is securely attached to the frame with a bead at each sew hole. The bottom of the purse is finished with a full, complete and lush row of looped fringes. The original lining was in total disarray so I put my very finest effort forward, testing every talent I have, and reconstructed it as it would have been. I heavily gathered it about the frame, including the pocket and I re-covered the attached beveled mirror as well, which is still usable. I spared nothing in time or energy to make the interior beautiful and match the color as closely as possible, a fabulous rustic harvest tone that pulls the entire purse together.
This purse also has nice size, measuring generously at 11¼ in length from end to end by over 7¾ wide at the top of the frame with the chain handle dropping 6¾ inches. This splendid purse deserves your attention, it is a magnificent example and the condition is superb, professionally cleaned, no apparent losses, certainly wee if any, I see no flaw, only a pristine work of art. This antique Art Nouveau purse is a winner, one that you can admire for decades to come or add to your family's heirlooms.
