The figural scene is quite wonderful, as my photos show, with lots of color, detail and depth. The lovely damsel is being serenaded by a talented musician, he has her undivided attention. The petit point border is actually much more ivory than would show, softening the overall look quite a bit, making it appear a bit more vintage, so please remember that while reviewing these photos. The stitches are very small, must be 40 per inch and I see no problems at all with the workmanship, it is splendid. 
 The interior is in "unused condition", how delightful. The beveled mirror is very good, showing some minor early signs of fogging but still very usable and clear when looking directly into it. The screen and puff are clean and in place. The backside is covered with a lovely pale pink satiny brocade and is in extra fine condition. The golden brassy case is sound and the clasp works as it should, push in to open and push in to close. This alluring figural petit point powder compact measures a generous 3 inches square.
