As good as my photos are and they do depict this compact well, they do not show you the lovely puffy style of the tiny stitches. When you pass your hand over the top, you will feel the dimensional stitches of the florals and the intricate border, they are slightly puffed up above the remainder of the workmanship. This special effect offers the piece a certain elegance and appeal that is not seen on traditionally stitched compacts. The floral design is framed wonderfully with an extra fancy border and pops off the black outer edge with pizzazz. The colors are soft and feminine and the puffy style gives it a the look of a fine French tapestry. 
 This compact is in perfect "unused" condition, it has been properly stored, recently unwrapped for the first time in many decades. The interior is complete with the clear beveled mirror, screen and puff, all in great condition. The golden brassy toned case is delicately etched and the chunky clasp snaps shut as it should. The backside is covered with a material that looks and feels like shiny black leather. This fashionable compact measures a nice size at 3 inches square and will blend well with either your petit point floral or tapestry handbag.
