My photos are true to what you should expect, including the coloring and the details. This egg tray has a ton of character, it is especially wonderful. I love the 1 & 1/2 inch loop handle, the fancy scalloped outer rim, the embossed raised porcelain mold and the generous use of delicate gold gilt highlights. I'm showing you lots of photos so you can see how unique this German scenic egg tray is.
I think my photos can tell you plenty about the three scenes from the town of Baden, in the western foothills of the Black Forest on the banks of the Oos River. Trinkhalle is a well known spa building with waters that are known for their healing abilities. The backside of the tray is unmarked, as is common for 1800's German porcelain, as these pieces were not required to be marked until after 1890, if I remember correctly. The condition is wonderfully well kept, no damages and little wear anywhere. If you are a collector of egg trays or antique German porcelain, you will appreciate this tray that measures 7 & 1/2 in diameter. It will grace your treasured porcelains with personality and charm.
