The glass has a nice clear quality, not yellowing, showing all the characteristics of depression era pattern glassware with lots of bubbles, straw lines and natural imperfections expected to be found in older glass. The outer edge has an elegant turned up scalloped border, even that is a little uneven and out of shape, really shows the charm and personality of older glass pieces. A beautiful 8 point star pattern is pressed into the foot which offers stability to the upper plate. This vintage pedestal stands 4 inches in height by 9 & 1/4 in width and the foot has a 4 inch diameter. The condition is extra fine with no chip, crack or damage and barely a scratch to be found. This vintage treasure was obviously well cared for and will make a superb addition to your dessert table.
