The glass is nice and clear with no yellowing. The pressed pattern is very intricate and precise, having lots of detail and character including the 14 point star decorating the foot. The outer edge has a turned up scalloped border that is wonderfully irregular, it has the look of blown glass. The top measures 9 & 1/2 inches across, the piece stands 4 inches in height and the diameter of the foot is 4 inches, all in very stable condition. I find no pertinent flaws, no damage, perhaps a couple scratches under close scrutiny or magnification. I do believe you will have fun decorating your dessert table with this vintage cake pedestal, it's charming.
