Precious violets are hand painted on this robust antique Limoges dresser jar from Paroutaud Freres, ca. 1903 - 1917, made in France.  Artwork and coloring is quite pleasing, exhibiting purples, lavender and green with additional shadings of pale yellow and beautiful blue.  Measuring 4 5/8 across the mid point and sitting 4 inches tall to the top of the gold gilt finial, this vanity box will come in damage free condition with small bits of gold wear to the top finial, nothing naughty at all.   If violets are your passion, you will appreciate this artist initialed French porcelain work of art. We are pleased to offer this vanity box to hold your specialty items and treasures.  Appears to be of wood construction painted in silver and boasting a two sided mirrored top with mirrored bottom interior.  Photos 4 and 5 show the interior mirrors, both lid and bottom, displaying a vintage handkerchief for image clarity.  The exterior cover is beautifully decorated in pink with a fully gowned silhouette reminiscent of the Southern plantation era, how very feminine.  Generally in very nice condition, usable as is but showing some wear here and there, however quite acceptable.  Measuring 9 5/8 wide by 7 5/8 in depth by 3 1/2 tall, this multi functional dresser box will inspire the collector.

You may be able to tell that I like hand painted violets as many collectors do and this cute porcelain heart shaped dresser box is very pleasing with pink, green, purple and dots of yellow with shadings of blue and creamy yellow ivory.  The exterior of the base and outer edge of the cover are accentuated with pastel lavender and a raised beaded edge, it really is a darling box.  Measuring 4 1/2 by 4 1/2 and sitting about 2 inches tall, this artist signed contemporary work of art will brighten your vanity or dresser.

Another lovely porcelain vanity box is offered, this cutie comes on graceful Queen Ann styled legs.  The cover is hand painted with forget-me-nots as well as perimeter shadings, this oval box is generously sized at 7 1/2 by 4 1/4 wide and stands 3 1/4 inches tall.  I see no damages or problems with this covered box, it is artist signed but difficult to read.  I have not seen this mold before, it is a contemporary piece, less than 50 years old, this sweet accessory will adorn your dresser quite nicely.
