The French Bag Shop, of Miami Beach, was well known for selling some of the very finest of the hand made French designer evening bags and this example will confirm that opinion. This purse is simply marvelous in every way, with it's splendid array of dynamic beadwork. The purse is covered with a grandiose display of color and the talent it took to bring this purse to completion is obvious. The bright pastels make up raised florals and leaves, as well as other decorative features and most designs are edged in French gold steel beads. The colors include periwinkle blue, multi shades of pink, lavender, ivory and a couple more subtle shades, I'm sure. The background bead is a soft white tiny little micro bead, all making up an incredible dimensional presentation. This is a beautifully appointed evening bag that I can't imagine would disappoint it's next owner.  
The shapely frame and the lift to open clasp are another fine example of French design and creativity that measures an inch and a half at it's widest. The coordinated beading, with additional select faux pearls, give this frame a uniquely exciting contour and personality. All the beadwork on the frame seems intact and securely attached to the gold toned frame and clasp. All elements of the frame are in good structural working order, I find nothing really to complain about. My photos are very good and exhibit exactly what you should expect to receive. I did professionally clean this purse, so you can enjoy a totally refreshed vintage wardrobe accessory. This purse was well cared for and it looks like it was never carried. The purse is well attached to the frame at all points and I'm tempted to call this beaded beauty pristine.  
The beaded designs carry themselves around the purse, to the bottom and the sides. This is a 100% beaded evening handbag that has a medium firm hand but it is not too stiff, nor is it delicate. The beading is snug and tight which gives this purse good weight and a constant reliable shape. I have not found any missing beads on this purse but there are literally thousands, so just to be safe, I'll say there might be one or two missing, however, I haven't noticed them. The interior is lined with a quality heavy satin, it has dual pockets, one is labeled and there is a matching satin change purse. The interior is perfect and looks unused. This magnificent piece of art measures, stuffed with tissue, 5 inches from top to bottom, 8 inches across the bottom, over 6 inches across the top of the frame, the side gusset is generous at 2 inches and the slinky style chain handle drops the purse by 6 inches.
