Entirely covered with small glass seed beads, it is pristine. When I acquired it, there was a faint stamp on the lining that stated it was hand made in France. However, I wanted to give it a professional cleaning, as I do most of my bags. As soon as the purse hit the water, the stamp disappeared. You will have to take my word for it that this elegant evening bag is French in origin and all hand made. I don't see how anyone could question it, the frame is screaming French in design and frames decorated in this style were only made in France. 
The gold tone frame has one of those classic Champleve enameled designs of coordinated beadwork with lots of gold and faux pearls, it is simply divine and entirely intact, including the lift up to open beaded front clasp. The bright white satin lining is pocketed and spotless. The backside of the purse is all beaded in sparkling white seed beads, as shown. The interior is adequate in size and the purse measures, stuffed with tissue, 5 in height by 8 in width, sides have an inch and a half gusset, the metal snake style chain handle drops by 4 inches. Overall, it is a splendid example of a French beaded evening handbag. You will be delighted to add it to your treasured vintage wardrobe accessories.
