First, let me say that the gold on silver color combination makes for a striking presentation. The shiny gold floral display is slightly raised atop the silver background. The center cartouche was intended to be monogrammed or dated, you can be the first to apply your initials. Structurally, this compact purse is perfect and if you can accept that it has a bit of minor scratching and wear on the front and some usage marks on the backside, you will have a wonderful vintage accessory that sports a very unique interior and it will be accompanied with it's original felt pouch. 
 These purses were called carry-alls because that is what they did and this carry-all packs an extra punch. This example captured my heart when I saw it's clear mini glass perfume bottle, I could easily overlook the little wear to acquire this unique piece that is almost never seen in these types of compact purses. Another wonderful feature are the two covered wells. The larger one is traditionally for your facial powder but that little well to the right is quite unusual, possibly for rouge but more likely is a pill container. In the center, you find your little money holder with a snap closure. Of course, you can't go anywhere without your lipstick holder complete with tube and your comb is in it's attached holder. 
 A clear mirror is an essential necessity and this one pulls forward to reveal the cigarette holder where you will discover a gorgeous vintage hanky, all trimmed in delicate hand stitched tatting. The interior of this purse is in splendid, bright condition. All elements are very clean, looking unused but there is a scant scent of perfume so I know that it was used for awhile and the marks on the back attest to that. I'm showing these scratches very well but in person, they don't look quite as pronounced. The hinges and clasps are strong and in fine working order. This slightly larger than normal carry-all measures 5 & 3/4 by 3 & 1/2 inches, the sturdy mesh strap has 5 & 1/2 inches in length and offers a comfortable fit over the wrist. This wonderful compact carry-all, with it's unique qualities, will provide decades of service to you or make for a great gift.
