The workmanship is hand knit in the traditional and well recognized swag design of alternating and graduating dual rows of beadwork . All of the beading is fully intact and in very fine condition. No snags or problems that I see, just a little age discolor in a couple areas to the underlying beige threading but no weaknesses and certainly nothing that distracts from this luscious purse and it's superb color tone. The purse is securely attached to the frame at all points and the beadier was thoughtful to add a row of beads at the sew holes for added dimension. The frame with it's drop loop and chain handle has a soft brass tone that is not showing in my photos, so you can expect it to look much better in person. The engraving and embossed detailing covers the entire frame, it's some of the nicest I've seen and the clasp closes snugly shut. The frame, chain and purse has been cleaned, no disappointments, only freshness. The lining was gone so I re-lined the interior with a complimentary deep aqua blue silk and trimmed the perimeter with a sweet border of lacy embroidered rosettes. Of course, everything is hand stitched to keep in line with the original harmony of the purse. This wonderful vintage knit handbag measures 7 in length by 5 & 1/2 inches across the hinges, the bottom skirts out to 7 & 1/2 inches and the chain drops the purse by 7 inches. Except for the tone on the frame, my photos are showing the color of the beading very well, especially the last two photos showing the front and backside. Please consider adding this radiant teal glass beaded purse to your wardrobe accessories, it's a charmer.
