The talent of the artist is quite evident and this fabulous dresser tray set comes from the Gérard, Dufraisseix and Abbot (GDA) factory of Limoges France. The set carries the green underglaze white ware mark that dates this set between 1900 and 1941. The fabulous curved and scalloped detailing to the outer edge of the porcelain is very reminiscent of the earlier pieces, more Art Nouveau in style. You will find the artwork to be totally appealing. The color palette is gorgeous, my photos show you what you should expect. The blooms appear to be cornflowers, the deep blues are striking and the overall gentler shadings are a perfect compliment. The artist was thoughtful to sign their work, B. Ochiltree. I acquired this set and others from an Ohio auction, I wonder if the artist was from that region of the country. Whatever it's history, this vanity set is really beautiful and if blues are your favored color, please consider this awesome set. It's generous in size also, the large tray measures 12¾ in length by 9½ in width, the pin ray is 5½ by 4½ and each has an outer raised lip. I believe my photos tell you more than I can, if you like what you see, you will love it in person. Item 8-321 C Sold, Thank You! Make an Offer We Have More Limoges Dresser Sets & Vanity Pieces
