The details are quite lovely, in the theme of the ever so popular butterflies. The features are very well executed, an obvious and talented work of art. I estimate this creation to be from the 1930 era, the fabric is a fine quality linen that carries good weight. The color tone is an almost off white or antiqued white, very pleasant and easy to blend with any decor. The condition of the cut work and embroidery is nearly pristine, I find only one small thread break that I almost missed, certainly does not effect the integrity of the piece.
The outer edge is bordered with a fine hand crocheted lace of alternating eyelet and fleur de les, it is all compete and intact, one fleur de les got folded in the photos but is there, no damages. This scarf measures 22 in length by 13 in width, it is in clean, starched, spotless condition, well kept and stored away for a long time. This piece would make a stunning dresser or vanity accessory or a stunning scarf for your favorite piece of furniture. The lady of the house will find the perfect place for it and will be pleased with the overall look.
