Since I am not a baker, pastry or bread maker, I do think someone should put it to good use, as it was intended to be used. It was made from two pieces of golden honey pine and is held together with outer side pieces that are held in place with very old square nails. This pastry board is very solid and sturdy. It is in remarkably fine shape, very well smoothed with age. My photos are very good and show you exactly what to expect. The condition is extra fine. There are a couple of short hairlines where the old square nails are securely in place and a few nicks and bumps but otherwise, I see no problems with this primitive board, everything is tight. This inviting bread board measures about 19 in width by 15 inches with the thickness being ½ inch. Both sides of this dough board are roughly the same and both sides are shown in the last two photos. I am confident you will enjoy rolling out your next pie crust on this wonderful antique pastry board.
