The box was intended to store a celluloid hand mirror brush set along with a comb but today it will serve to hold your treasures very well. The original hardware and hinges are all good, the sides are papered with a coordinated leafy pattern all overall everything and is in wonderful vintage condition. The paper has a beige tan background tone and as it wraps around the box it begins to show light purple flowers around the backside, not showing too well in my photos. 
The interior fabric is still actually quite clean but shows the expected age with a several frays at the high spots, not bad for 100+ years of age. Measuring 9 1/2 by 6 1/2 and sitting over 3 inches in height, this exciting celluloid box will satisfy even the most discerning collector, let me know and I will put it aside for you.
