 In over two decades of buying and selling these porcelain backed hand mirrors, I have not seen one quite like this before, a lovely castanet dancer in her gorgeous blue dress. Her attire is very pleasing, all the way from her long ruffled sleeves down to her dancing shoes. She is in a full dancing pose and looking very confident as she completes her performance. My photos are very clear as to what you should expect, nothing short of an enchanting portrayal. This late 1800's to early 1900's hand mirror is transfer decorated with a very appealing color palette. The portrait is on a bright white background, showing very little wear here and there, and the rendering of this portrait is as sweet as can be. The porcelain is in damage free condition, barely has a scratch seen when tipped to the light. 
 As you can see from all the photos, she is really wonderful and if you love the color blue, you will adore her colorful costume. The porcelain is framed in brass tones, the outer rim is dent free and has a well defined beaded edge. The handle is heavily embossed in a Victorian floral theme and has but one small dent that is not offensive at all. I have cleaned and polished this hand mirror for you, removing over 100 years of hand grime and tarnish, it is now radiant and ready for you to handle and it actually looks much nicer than my photos. The original mirror was somewhat hazy, so I replaced it with a quality mirror, it has a wide bevel at the edge, just like the original and it's perfect. The viewing surface is 5 inches and the overall length is a little over 9 inches.
