My photos show the depth of colors very well, this full bodied rose is quite lovely with all of it's many petals. This robust rose is accompanied with a single upper bud, thorny branches, green leaves and some soft shadings to include blue. The background tone is a soft white and the porcelain is in excellent condition, damage free, as is the transfer decorations. Under magnification, I see a couple of the typical porcelain imperfections but I had to feel for them to find them, certainly not an issue or distraction.
The golden brassy toned metal framing and handle are especially pretty and totally exemplify the Art Nouveau era with it's lily pad design. The handle and framing are secure, sturdy and dent free, really in very nice condition. This hand mirror has been cleaned and polished for your future enjoyment and shows beautifully. The original beveled mirror was not usable so I replaced it with a quality beveled mirror, very much like the original and completely perfect. This gorgeous hand mirror measures the standard size of 9 ¼ in length and 5 ¼ in width. It's a lovely vanity accessory for the lady of the house, she will be pleased with this marvelous antique treasure for adorning her dresser top and it is so very usable as well.
