The overall coloring is a little white flower with lovely greenery and tan/light brown leaves on a white background. It is a pleasing set that will blend beautifully with any of the green transfer decorated Haviland dinnerware. The condition is damage free and appears barely if ever used. The gold gilt highlights are good with just a bit of rubbing on the plate. The finial on the cover is comfortable to handle. The Theodore Haviland back stamp is on the plate and cover, it dates this set to ca. 1903 - 1925. The set sits about 3 1/2+ inches tall by 6 5/8 across the plate, the insert is 4 inches and the dish has a depth of 1 inch. You will add a touch a charm to your dinner table with this lovely vintage butter set.
