My photos are expressing the true nature of this set, the crisp color palette, the luscious pinky yellow roses are accompanied by more pink roses, baby blue forget-me-nots and multi colored greenery all presented on a rather bright white background. The finer quality transfer decorated floral bouquet displays on slightly dome shaped porcelain discs. The artwork is gleaming with life and passion, as only roses can convey and the paint is intact, no complaints with the artwork. The porcelain is in excellent condition, please excuse any light reflections. These pieces suffer no cracks, chips, hairlines or other issues, I don't even see much of a scratch. The outer metal rims and handles are bright, they have been cleaned and polished to the best of my ability and look nicer than my photographs, with a golden brassy tone. The rim to the hair brush has several dents as well as some small distortion along the side edges but it's not overly noticeable, as it is hard to take the eyes off the roses. The rim to the hand mirror is in very nice shape with a small or wee dent or two, nothing significant or unsightly, barely cane see it.  
The handles are secure and strong, fully embossed with Victorian roses and leaves. The hardware is considered to be in good sound condition, with acceptable usage flaws for it's age of well over 100 years. The natural bristles on the brush are set in a wood base, although a decorative accessory, it is in very good condition and nearly all intact, looks antique, showing natural age. The original beveled mirror was cracked so I replaced it with a quality mirror that has a wide bevel at the outer edge, much like the original and it is perfect. I show a photo with the reflection of our dining table leaded fixture, for clarity sake. The hand mirror measures approx. 9¼ in length, it has a 5 inch viewing surface and the brush is proportionately a little smaller. Please don't hesitate if you love this set, I have been having a very difficult time finding hand mirrors with brushes that are as delightful as these roses. This is a stunning antique Victorian hand mirror brush set and it looks wonderful in person.
