This hand mirror is absolutely radiant with life. The photos show the fabulous large roses very well and depict their true beauty. The background color is bright white but the transfer decorated floral theme covers the greater portion of the porcelain. There are a couple of small rough spots on the porcelain, in the lower green leaf by the stem and on the outer edge of the right rose. I believe it's original from manufacturing as there is color on these areas, it appears that the transfer was likely applied over them. Manufacturing imperfections on antique porcelains are to be expected, on occasion. I do not consider these to be an issue of concern, they will not promote future damage nor do they detract in the least. For the most part, they go unnoticed but I mention them for accuracy. The outer metal rim and handle have been cleaned and polished to a golden bright tone. There are a few small dents on the rim, nothing too significant and the handle is firm and secure. The original beveled mirror has a nice clear image and is in extra fine condition, actually it is much better than most found. This hand mirror measures 9¾ in length and has a 5 inch viewing surface.
