My photos show all the colors and hand decorated art work very well, the talent of the artist is obvious. Each piece is delicately painted with mini roses, deep burgundy tones and an abundance of gold gilt scrolling highlights, as well as raised gold beading to enhance the outer border. Additional details include the wonderful cut-outs to the sides. You will find the backsides stamped with the well known, old Nippon Maple Leaf mark from the late 1800's to the early 1900's. These salt dips are generously sized and could also serve as butter pats, as they are 3 & 1/2 in length by 2 & 1/4 in width and will easily hold two pats of butter. These porcelain pieces are in excellent condition, no damage, no wear, I find no fault to mention. I know some salt dip collectors only like to acquire one of each pattern they can find, so I am offering these individually, but I hope you will find them too fabulous, and want them all.
