Elegant Designer Beaded and Petit Point Evening Handbag

We Have More French and Elegant Beaded Evening Purses

You will be speechless when you see this incredible 1930's designer purse, made in France for the much admired upscale department store, Maison de Bonneterie.

The delicate micro petit point stitching, against the faceted jet glass black beads, offers a sparkling and radiant presentation that is unmatched by any other handbag.

The workmanship is incredible on this purse. I love these cut and faceted jet black beads, they sparkle at every angle. The intense use of color, in the micro petit point floral pattern, is fabulous and my photos show it all very well.  The colors vary from soft and subtle to cheerfully bright but in no way are they too stark. The abundant shades in the petit point are stunning and span the full spectrum of color.  The center arena is lush with roses as well as a complete floral display, all radiating from an urn. The outer perimeter is decorated in the same detailing with a  smaller floral on the backside of the purse. It has been way too long since I have acquired one of these beauties, there is no debating that is was made in France  for the notorious upscale department store, Maison de Bonneterie of the Netherlands.  This upscale chain of department stores opened their flagship stores in Amsterdam during 1889 and in The Hague in 1913. The exterior of this handbag is in excellent condition, has been completely professionally cleaned and I find no apparent bead loss, discolors, snags or flaws.

The frame is the spring tension style that spans the length of the purse and functions on a piano hinge, all in solid working order. It is equally as lovely with coordinating micro petit point.  The framing to this purse looks like a quality golden brassy metal that has barely aged over the decades. In the photo of the side profile of the purse, you will notice that there is a black stone that caps off the end of the frame. On one side of the frame the stone is chipped, actually looks carved and I thought it was until I took a closer look under a magnifyer, this minor flaw will go easily unnoticed and in no way detracts from this gorgeous purse. In the photo of the backside of the purse, you will see a slight bend on the left side of the frame, it has no effect on the workings of the purse nor the structural integrity, everything works as it should. The interior black satin lining is quite nice, showing very wee if any signs of age or usage. The pocket is secure and maintains it's designer signature. The interior is quite roomy and certainly will carry all of your necessities. This handbag is carried by a fully beaded handle which drops the purse by over 6 inches.  Stuffed with tissue, this purse measures very generously at 6½ in height by 8½ in width, with the side gusset spanning 1½ inches. This elegant designer beaded and petit point evening handbag is very worthy of your consideration and will shine amongst your treasury of purses, it's breathtaking.
