  This purse is estimated to be approx. 60 years old but, of course, it could be a bit older. You will be amazed at it's unused, ideal condition, dare I say pristine. The figural scenic rendition is rich and lush with color, covering the full spectrum of shades. I am especially captivated by the architectural details, the depth of color and the stitch count of 38 - 40 stitches per inch or approx. 1500 per square inch. There appears to be quite a gala going on in this scene with 5 women and 2 men, one of which seems to have his eyes covered by the damsel alongside of him, can't help but wonder what's going on there. One of the ladies is descending the staircase with much exuberance, as if she can't get to the party soon enough.  * 
I'm showing you lots of photos from every angle so you can see everything necessary to fall in love with this purse. Both sides have the same scenery and both sides are in equally perfect condition. This purse has a bit of a stiffer hand, as the stitching is extremely tight and this purse has not been handled much. There are so many different shadings on this purse, it is simply marvelous and the floral border is just as spectacular. There is very little black background border on this purse, just enough to add the right amount of perimeter contrast.
The golden frame is bright and shows little to no signs of aging, perhaps a tad bit on the interior but you will need a magnifier to detect it. The floral embossed design on this frame is recessed and is set on a background that has a textured effect. The kissing clasp closes the purse with a gentle snap and the slinky style chain handle drops the purse by 6½ inches. The purse is well attached to the frame at all points and is very secure. No staining to the exterior, no wear, no tear, no signs of age or usage.
The outer band of the purse is ¾ of an inch and displays a vibrant floral garland of roses. The interior is lined in a jet black satin and has a single pocket. I was unable to get a clear photo of the lining, my camera refused to focus but the lining is clean and perfect. Stuffed with tissue, this scenic micro petit point handbag measures 6 inches in height by 7¾ in width. This lovely vintage petit point purse will carry well to any special event that demands an eye catching purse.
