This wonderful hand beaded work of art has a special personality, in that, it is like looking at and old fashion photograph. I have actually never acquired a purse quite like this before in the black, white, clear and silver tones. It is an interesting purse with the red roof on the central building and there are many pale subtle bluish beads in the sky that are not showing too well in my pictures. The scene is bordered in an Art Nouveau design and the bottom is finished with a complete and lush row of shimmering crystal cut beads. You will discover three signature beads on one side of the purse, in the color green. Artists used these beads, as a way, to distinguished their work from others. The condition of this handbag is as good as it gets, I see no problems to mention, no stains, bead loss nor any significant aging.
The frame is silver toned with embossed detailing and is basically clean and bright. The interior maintains the original lining with pocket, again, clean showing no usage or wear and barely any fabric aging, just a little around the fame's edge. The purse is secure at all points and measures over a bit over 9 in total length by 6 & 3/8 in width, the chain handle drops 6 & 1/2 inches. I just want to mention, one more time, what a great sparkle this purse gives off, it is identical and each side, both in pattern and condition. I know it's new owner will find this antique scenic beaded purse as worthy and appealing as I do.
