The blue sky is spectacular, the orange sunset is captivating and the overall theme is a delight to view, much prettier in person. The scene is the same on both sides but in reverse. The beads are small at 15 per inch, 225 to the square inch, some are rounded, others are cut, all are bright and sparkling. I'm showing you lots of photos so you can judge the personality of this purse for yourself, it is quite appealing. The bottom is finished with a complete row of coordinating fringe work, using four of the colors in the purse, all intact and secure.
The frame is silver toned with embossed panels, it is fairly clean and somewhat shiny but showing some aged patination and tarnish as expected. The interior of the frame is not signed but I am certain of it's German origin because I recently sold a nearly identical purse and it was marked made in Germany. This purse continues to carry it's original pumpkin orange lining with pocket. The fabric is in very fine condition, looking never used, very clean, simply marvelous, however, there is a small area of lining that has weakened near the hinge on one side. The original chain handle drops the purse by 5 1/2 inches and has age appropriate patina but no rust.
The purse measures 11 1/2 from the clasp to the tip of the fringe by nearly 7 inches wide. There is a lot of pretty detail in the purse that did not show completely in the photos. This lovely antique scenic beaded purse will arrive in splendid condition, clean and well cared for. I find no significant flaws, miniscule if any bead loss, overall splendid and will make an exciting addition to your collection.
