I am currently listing many petit point items from a prominent New York City Collection, to include several of these marvelous petit point cigarette cases. They have been well preserved and packed away for many decades, untouched until recently when I had the great pleasure of unwrapping them. The stitches covering the top are quite small, tiny in fact, the roses are set against a black background. This case is in "unused condition" and will arrive clean with the original stiff paper inside used to hold the shape of the sleeve. 
 You will be delighted to discover that your business card, license, money and credit cards fit just right into this vintage treasure. There is also ample depth, on the interior of the cover, to add a mirror if you desire. The backside is covered in a jet black satiny-type fabric and is in very nice condition. Both interior and exterior are well kept and clean with no significant age apparent. The golden brassy tone metal casing supports the workmanship appropriately and the clasp works as it should. This lovely vintage vanity or purse accessory measures a generous 3 & 1/4 in height by 3 & 3/4 in width. Anyone who loves petit point should be happy to acquire one of these elusive and hard to find cases.
