This is a vintage 1940 - 1950 heavily decorated and
very expressive cigarette case that I recently acquired from a San Antonio,
Texas estate collection.
This cigarette case has a marvelous personality,
having a creative layering of decorative features which give it an alluring and
glamorous appeal. |

The top is encrusted with faux pearls, 2 rows of 8 large citrine colored baguettes along with a center square cut rhinestone and 4 rows of 17 clear cut and faceted round rhinestones. Each decorative piece is well attached to the case , all stones are prong set and overall are in very good vintage condition, I really don't see any significant issues to report. The case is constructed of gold tone metal and is in extremely fine condition with barely a scratch or 2 on the bottom side, no dents or negatives and looks basically new. I don't believe that this case was ever used, you will likely be the first to enjoy it.   The case functions properly, closes with a solid snap and opens to reveal a more unusual dual sided interior, all looking beautiful and new. I apologize for the fuzzy photo of the backside but as I said, it is nearly pristine, no disappointments. This extraordinary and lovely treasure measures 3⅜ inches from side to side, 3 inches from front to back and has ⅝ inch of depth.
