cigarette or card cases that I am currently offering, hand made in Austria around 1940.

purchasing these and other great petit point treasures from a prominent New York

Every piece is just divine and each has a personality all it's own, this case is no exception, it's terrific. The entire top is petit pointed, exhibiting a stunning floral arrangement, all on an off white or soft ivory background. The stitches are very tiny and I am sure they count at least 35 - 40 stitches per inch. My photos are showing the colors well, including lavender, purple, coral, burnt orange, deep rose, pinks, greens, blues and bits of yellow. 
 The backside is covered with a soft ivory ribbed fabric, it is secure as is the entire piece. In fact, all of the petit point from this estate was packed away for nearly 7 decades and was just recently unwrapped for the first time. The interior has a pocket that will hold your money, license and assorted cards, whatever your need may be. The inside of the cover has enough depth to add a mirror if you desired one. The interior fabric is an off white or ivory tone and is in very nice condition. There is a little paper tag inside the pocket that states it was hand made petit point in Austria, sorry I goofed up and did not include it in the photo. This lovely treasure measures 3 & 3/4 in width by 3 %& 1/4 in height. The petit point collector should be thrilled to acquire one of these admired and cherished accessories.
