The hand stitched workmanship is very well done, the micro petit point is wonderful and the stitches must count to about 35 per inch. The black outer border really pops the colors and the overall condition is gorgeous. The gold tone case is beautifully etched and the clasp works as it should, push in to open and it closes snugly. 
The interior looks to have been used, perhaps once, not much more. The screen and puff are relatively clean, showing barely any usage. The beveled mirror is usable, no problems applying powder, but is showing some apparent signs of fogging. The backside is covered with a black faille, tightly ribbed fabric and looks new and clean. This wonderful hand made compact measures nearly 3 & 1/2 by 3 inches and is absolutely stunning. You will not regret adding this superb piece of workmanship to your wardrobe accessories, it has a dynamic appeal.
