A sensational piece from the 1930's - 1940's that will adorn your vanity or dresser top. The pink porcelain egg is cased with secure brass tone metal as well as the connection between the egg and the base The center post is the working mechanism, push down to open and push down to catch the egg when closing. The interior has two holders for the original clear mini bottles, marked on the bottom, French bottle. Each is perfect with their daubers intact, all elements are in good working order. The outer shell has a lovingly gentle pink tone, decorated with gold highlighted rose and additional stenciling around the perimeters, all in good condition and showing well in my photos. The underside is signed as shown but I am finding no info on this particular manufacturer, Goumot-Labesse. Please excuse all the light reflections in the photos, I see very little if any paint loss, all the brass continues to maintain a nice and attractive patina. This Limoges egg casket is in wonderful condition, no damages or significant wear at all, just natural aging, better than expected. It measures 5 1/4 tall by 2 3/4 inches wide and will add charm and character to your collection, you really should consider this one, it's absolutely charming, don't let this one get away.
