The artwork carries itself well around the bottle with lots of hand painted workmanship in roses, violets and orange flowers. I'm showing you lots of photos so you can judge this little treasure for yourself. The artwork is very nicely executed, showing creativity and inspirational style. The shape of the bottle is pleasing to the eye and the size is a sweet 4¼ in overall height by 2½ at it's widest, tapering down to sit steady on a 2¼ inch diameter base. The top of the bottle is enhanced with three bands of gold gilt. The original stopper fits well into the opening and is also highlighted with gold gilt. The bottom is hand painted in script, Made in France. It also has a painted mark from Samson & CO. of Paris France, used between 1927 and 1941. This company was well known for making reproduction early 1800's Sèvres pieces and this bottle was fashioned after a popular artistic technique from that era. The quality of this scent bottle stands out, you will not be disappointed. I have not found any issues with this bottle, it is lovely and clean.
The backside of the bottle has a gold gilt leafy design and all the artwork is on a soft white ground. Please consider adding this very special 1930's Limoges perfume bottle to your treasured dresser accessories or give it as a impressive and thoughtful gift.
