Antique Austrian Hand Painted Serving Dish <<<< Back to Porcelain from Austria   This lovely antique hand painted porcelain china serving dish is attributed to Moritz Zdekauer, ca. 1884 - 1909. The earth tones are crisp and the artwork is well done showing much talent along with the artist's signature and date it was painted.

The elder lady that I purchased this from said the flowers were nasturtiums but they look a lot like pansies to me.  I fear that my photos do not do it justice as I am now photographing in artificial night lighting, please excuse the reflections.  Generously gilded in gold accents and measuring 11 by 6 3/4 inches, the 1 3/4 inch rise from the table provides this piece with a graceful scalloped shallow bowl shape.  You will find this vintage dish to be in excellent condition showing very little if any of it's wonderful age, near pristine, minute gold loss, really a great piece from the past.
