The mark shown below was used after 1887. Gold gilt is a little softer than shown in the first photos. The artwork is quite pleasing with adorable purple, yellow and blue pansies. The gold gilt highlights are splendid, the overall look of this 10 1/4 inch cake plate is divine. No negatives concerning this serving plate, just beautiful. I know you'll love adding this treasure to your cabinet collection or what a thoughtful gift it would make. More pansy pieces are available, view the RS Silesia covered sugar and creamer, the rare Austrian pastry tray and plate set, the 6 cups and saucers in Noritake Nippon, a very early and sweet Buffalo China butter tub, a serving bowl and relish tray and a set of 8 1/2 inch plates.
