Antique Cake Plate from Bavaria, Hand Painted <<<< Back to Porcelain from Bavaria This stunning hand painted cake plate comes from the L. Hutschenreuther Porcelain Factory in Bavaria. The quality of the antique porcelain is quite wonderful and the molded bow handles were distinctly used during the early 1900's.

The mark shown below was used after 1887.  Gold gilt is a little softer than shown in the first photos.  The artwork is quite pleasing with adorable purple, yellow and blue pansies.  The gold gilt highlights are splendid, the overall look of this 10 1/4 inch cake plate is divine.  No negatives concerning this serving plate, just beautiful.  I know you'll love adding this treasure to your cabinet collection or what a thoughtful gift it would make.
