They are hand painted by artist Lois Shofner, each piece is signed and dated between 1967 to 1970. I suspect that one of the plates was broken and Lois had to paint a replacement in 1970, the plate on the left. Of the four sets I am currently offering, it is the only piece with that date. She did a good job matching the colors but she painted the blossoms a little smaller than the other pieces. Nonetheless, these sets are adorable and will make for a pleasant way to serve your guests. 
 My photos represent the sets well, showing all the pink blossoms and background shadings. The plate rims are trimmed in the old type of gold gilt as well as the handles on the cups. The plates and cups have shapely mold designs and are very reminiscent of the 1950's and 60's styles. The plates measure 8 inches in diameter, the cups sit 2 & 1/2 inches tall and everything is in wonderful condition. These sets have become very popular over the years and very collectible, please consider adding this pair to your treasured hand painted porcelain.
