Although my photos are good, they just don't seem to do justice to this darling purse. You can expect it to look a little nicer in person. This handbag is completely covered in beading, with the background bead having a shimmery soft white appearance. There are tons of raised flowers on this handbag, giving a sweet dimension to the purse, with colors that include a variety of pink tones, pale peach, soft lavender, ivory and blue purple. Those two blue flowers flanking the center of the purse are really more of a pale blue purple, in fact, all of the colors on this purse are very soft and subtle. There are some darker beads that define the stems, centers of flowers and additional decoration. The pattern is the same on the backside of the purse except the colors seem a shade deeper. The beaded frame and the front of the purse are exact in color tone but the backside seems to have a tad bit more color, all of this, I am sure, is part of the making of the purse. Although the beading is tight, this purse maintains a soft medium hand with somewhat of a fluid feel. This purse has been professionally cleaned and is ready to be carried and enjoyed. The gold tone frame has taken on a vintage patina and is covered in coordinated beadwork that includes about 10 more raised flowers. The lift to open spring tension style of this frame spans the width of the purse, it functions on a piano hinge and opens and closes properly. There is a fully beaded handle that drops the purse by 6½ inches and it has the same raised beaded flowers that are incorporated on the purse. It is always a treat to find a beaded handle that is decorated. All elements of the frame are secure and the purse is well attached at all points. The interior ivory satin lining is the only aspect of this purse that shows it's usage. Although this purse has been washed, I was unable to remove what looks like perfume spills but they did get much fainter in color. The gold piping on the pockets have aged, leaving behind some yellowing to the fabric, as shown, and this does not look offensive. The lining is very clean, suffers from no tears or wears and really does not need to be replaced, it is secure and carries only a scent of freshness. The dual pockets and lipstick slot offer good space for your accessories. One of the pockets had a stenciled label that read La Belle Creole hand made in France, but the washing of the purse lifted the stenciling away. This purse, stuffed with tissue, measures 5 in height by 7½ across the bottom, 6¼ across the frame and the side depth is about an inch or so. This purse is a bit smaller but will carry your more essential items just fine. This chic designer vintage French evening handbag will be the perfect compliment to your next dress-up occasion, that springtime wedding or special dinner party.
