I can't help but imagine what an exciting bridal purse this would be, seems so romantic for that very special day. It is entirely covered with small white pearly glass seed beads, all sound, secure and in superior condition. There are crystal clear beads which create a rather subdued pattern and both sides of the purse are the same. The main emphasis is the beauty of the beaded clasp and that stunning piece of Limoges porcelain. It is transfer decorated in the well recognized Fragonard Victorian figural romance theme. The outer edge of the disc is highlighted in gold gilt, it is damage free and securely prong set in place. The clasp folds over the purse and closes with a gentle snap. The gold tone frame is bright and shining showing very little if any signs of age or use. The clasp and frame open and close as they should and the purse is secure to the frame at all points. This purse has been well preserved and cared for. This evening handbag has also been professionally cleaned for you, it really is perfectly wonderful as far as I can see. I do believe it's a little treasure. The interior is lined with a bright white spotless satin, there is one labeled pocket, as shown, reading hand beaded in France. Stuffed with tissue, this purse measures 4½ in height by 8½ in width, the sides span out to 1 inch and the chain handle drops the purse by 4½ inches. The interior is not quite as roomy as some evening bags and because of the way the clasp snaps shut, you will carry only your absolute essentials. This wonderful French Limoges evening purse is a splendid and rare example. You will find this purse easy to love, please consider adding it to your treasured vintage wardrobe accessories.
