These smaller knitted purses are certainly not easy to find, in fact, it's been many years, if not a decade, since I've acquired one as cute and delightful as this one. Most of these purses have not survived or are in poor condition. This purse is wonderful, with barely an issue to mention. Except for the beaded handle, there were no repairs to be made. I did re-enforce the handle to the purse frame, for a more secure connection, and I did stitch down one pulled thread on the handle, otherwise the condition of the beadwork on this purse is fabulous, not one bead missing that I have found. This purse is comprised of radiant golden amber cut and faceted glass beads and the background threading has a color that is showing well in my photos, a sort of golden ecru brownish beige, which suits the beading well. This handbag has been professionally cleaned and will arrive to you as fresh as can be. The frame, for this little treasure, is especially pleasing, it's in a soft tone of brass and banded with open pierced filigree to the front and back side. The clasp and frame opens and closes properly, with no distortions or problems of any kind. The purse and the lining are well attached to the frame as they should be. The original lining was frayed and split in pieces, so I removed and replaced it with a brown silk fabric, fashioned both in style and in color, gathered at the top edge, all exactly like the original. This sweet antique knit and beaded swag dance purse measures a mere 5 inches from the top of the clasp to the bottom of the bag, 4¼ inches across the bottom, a slight 2 inches across the frame, 2½ inches across the hinges, and the beaded handle drops 5¼ inches. Rarely do I acquire a mini beaded purse that is in such great condition. If you've been watching for one of these darling purses, please consider this one, it's a charmer.
