The blues in the bird are a lighter sea blue and a darker cobalt. The background bead is a soft antique creamy white and although the purse has been cleaned, it exhibits an aged look, not snowy white as it wanted to photograph, however, it is not stained or yellowed, just a bit aged. The central theme is surrounded with a golden amber and chocolate brown border, the very outer sides of the purse are trimmed in brown as well. The 2 inch fringe work is coordinated, so lovely, lush and complete, actually, I can't find a bead out of place on this purse. The Art Nouveau silver toned frame is sturdy, strong and deeply embossed. The central shield carries stylized initials and the other side of the purse is ready for yours. The purse is well attached to the frame with a bead at each sew hole, all is sound and secure. The original leather lining shows natural aging for 100 years old but no tears, stress or holes. The entire purse is damage free, no bead loss or apparent repairs, overall, just a really handsome bird purse. Measuring over 10 inches long by nearly 7 across the frame, chain drops 6 inches, this Nouveau classic will be a great addition to your collection if you have been wanting to add a feathered friend to your treasures.
