Rare 1930's Beaded Change Purse With Dual Sided Pattern <<<< Back to Change Purses and Coin Holders   This is a darling little vintage change purse that will arrive in particularly good condition, it's so very hard to find one this unusual and still fully intact. This sparkling beauty is an exciting example of the 1930's era and the color palette is a sight to behold, so charming indeed, I love it.

I really have never acquired one quite as adorable as this, especially with different patterns on each side. Even though it has no label, it came from the same estate as the Belgium beaded coin purse I have listed on another web page. The shape and size are basically identical, so I would be comfortable saying that this change purse is likely European in origin. Another unique feature of this coin holder is the type of beads that were used. Many of them have a particular type of sparkle that was created by what seems to be a glittery finish, at least that is what I think it is. I haven't seen this type of bead before, so I can only say what I believe upon close scrutiny under a magnifier. Whatever the case, they are most appealing and add a special shimmer to this piece.

This little cutie pie has been well loved and used but also well cared for. Although the interior satin lining shows moderate usage and edge discolor, as shown, it suffers no wear or tear. Also, it has no bead loss, damages or other negative issues. I have professionally cleaned this change purse so it is as bright and fresh as can be. Stuffed with tissue, it measures a wee 3 inches in height from the top of the kissing clasp to the bottom by 4¾ at the widest. It is in structurally sound condition. The last two photos show each side with all the coordinated pastel colors of pinks, lavender, green, yellow and gold. This very unusual vintage change purse will be a great addition to your purse accessories or would make a great gift.
