Both the interior and exterior of this vintage change purse is constructed of rich quality black satin. The exterior has been hand stitched with Tambour needlework in the Point de Beauvais stitch. The colors are dynamic and deep in tone, you should expect them to look much like my photos, if not better. The center flower has several shades of burgundy, pink and dusty rose. The workmanship is precise, executed by a talented seamstress, showing pride in her work.
The golden brassy toned clasp is in solid working order and is set with red glass jewels, actually the color is a deeper ruby tone. The fabric is snug to the frame, it is trimmed in a dark gold piping and all functions as it should. The interior is in extra fine vintage condition and maintains it's French label. The backside of this coin purse has a simpler floral display in the same color tones. This coin purse measures a little wider, as is typical of the 1940's - 1950 pieces, 3 & 1/4 in height by 5 in width, the outer sides are 3/4 of an inch. This is a wonderful change purse and would be a great addition to your treasured purse and wardrobe accessories. The condition is superior, I really don't see how a vintage piece could be much better.
