This Art Deco beauty is styled with the silver fish scale type mesh from the 1930 era, all clean and bright. The compact is in the lid and the top, with it's yellow enameled ground, is accentuated with a raised step down sun ray design. The interior is in splendid unused condition with all original components secured, screen and puff. It looks so good, near pristine to the eye, only when looking closer, will you discover any tiny scratches or imperfections from natural aging or handling. The original off white satin lining is another treat and overall it is in clean, better than good vintage condition but you will find a very small hole, toward the edge, when you look closely, otherwise it also looks unused. I don't find any significant signs of age or abuse, no dents or enamel loss, all mesh attached as it should be and lining in secure position. This Art Deco delight measures 5 & 1/2 inches long by 3 & 5/8 wide, the compact top is 2 & 1/2 inches in diameter and the chain handle drops over 4 inches. I keep searching for the Whiting & Davis mark but have not found it, nonetheless, it's a great vanity bag and in equally great condition. Let me know and I'll put this treasure aside for you.
