The workmanship is well executed, the knitter was proficient. The top portion is beaded in horizontal rows, radiating from there are the vertical strands and fringes that are the recognized trademark of the swag design. The beadwork is well attached to the frame at all points and shows no snags, missing beads or fringes, damages or repairs. The frame has a brassy finish and a delightful all-over embossed design, reminiscent of both the Art Nouveau and Art Deco eras. My photos show the deep rich cranberry threading very well, this color, certainly not seen often is to be appreciated. The original interior pale peach satiny lining and trimming are in very fine vintage condition, quite usable, no tearing or splitting, all securely attached to the frame. This luscious purse measures 8 & 1/4 inches from the kissing clasp to the bottom by 6 & 3/4 wide by nearly 6 inches across the frame. It will look smashing with a black dress and will add a special color to your purse collection, you won't be disappointed in the tone, it looks much better than the photos.
