There are no gaps at the hinges, actually very snug and no dropped links. There is a little paint wear at the hinge area involving about one to three tiles on each side, otherwise, the enamel is considered very good with barely a few hints of loss on the body of the purse, truly insignificant. My photos express the artwork very well, this classic design of arches and angles by the Mandalian Manufacturing Company should be included in every collection.
The color palette is lovely with blue, forest green and gold on a white background. Color is crisp, no fading or yellowing. The frame is very pretty and possibly has a gold gilding, bright and very well kept. The center arena has an overflowing basket of foliage with roses and leaves adorning the corners and radiating down the sides. The frame is signed and the interior unlined. The bottom is skirted with an impressive eleven point Van Dyke fringe that has a bit of a ruffled look when carried. This purse measures generously at over 8 inches long by 4 1/2 across the frame, the drop of the chain handle and the bottom flairs to 5 inches. I believe you will enjoy adding this vintage mesh purse to your accessories. The interior is very clean and is ready for you to have lined or simply appreciate as it is.
