Overall, the sterling is relatively bright with minimal tarnishing, if any, very fine for a purse of this age. It has been well kept throughout it's life and will be a great addition to your purse collection. The frame is wonderful, the front is fully pierced and cut-out with fabulous Art Nouveau flowers and leaves, the backside is plain and elegant. The clasp opens and closes as it should. The chain link handle is sturdy and drops the purse by 6 inches. The bottom of the purse maintains it's original 5 little hanging balls. This purse is unlined and measures 5 3/4 inches long by 6 inches across the frame and the bottom flairs out to about 7 inches. The purse is in great condition, the perfect gift for the collector. Close inspection shows this accessory to be in original condition and clearly marked sterling silver as well as having the name of the original owner inscribed. Over by the hinge, it is marked Germany, denoting the country of origin. This sterling purse is a treasure and in divine condition, really doesn't get much better. The last two photos show both sides of this gem and as you can see, it is most worthy. I know you will be thrilled with this purse, let me know and I'll place it aside for you. Also, I can put in a beautiful light silver silk lining and will include it in the price of $375.00, if you wish.
